Britney Hearts Bigpond
Yup, sounds about right. Electron Soup's got Pluto's Encore : "You could probably whip out the Trade Practices Act for this one, but it's likely just an oversight. Pete at intermaweb.net reports that the advertisements for Bigpond Music feature a snazzy-looking MacBook Pro. Only problem? Bigpond Music doesn't work on a Mac, owing to the crippleware it attaches to its files to stop you sharing them with friends."
I'm certainly over that TV ad where the kids get home from necking alot of X and say "Hey I can download this song to my mobile..... and now it's on my PC. Turn up the music. We are going to party like it's 1999." Sure is 1999. Classic example of marketers hoping there is a problem that really isnt, and then providing a solution, hoping if you buy enough TARPS on FTA-TV you will buy reach, thus sales. Nada. Try an all you can eat 3G data plan which includes downloading songs instead.
Anyway, so I'm back from Melbourne ($37 of petrol later), and lots of good happenings, not as good as Bono, Edge'n'rest (who are figuring out difference between Melbourne and Sydney in their sign off to audience) picking up $50m from their downunder tour. Or Brittney Spear's getting $15M for a 20 week set in Las Vegas. (should pay for the divorce with change) Fed-Ex has been offered $150K pounds to do Celebrity Big Brother. Neat.
