Roxy out of Australian Idol

My favourite style of music is Neo-Soul : I've had the new Kanye West album cranking all weekend, John Legend's Get Lifted album this year (who Kanye did work on) among my recent favourites, which harks me back years ago on a 1995/6-ish New Years Eve when I was introduced to Mary J.Blige - My Life Album, from which I moved onto the true NeoSoul; Erykah Badu - Baduizm, Jill Scott, Angie Stone. And Me'Shell - every album of hers, damn hot. All legends. Now Roxy on Australian Idol isnt one of those, but her voice has been reminding me of someone, the breathy raspiness and I cant remember which artist. Aagh anyone remember ? Maybe it was erykah.... Anyway, she's out of the competition but her last performance rocked. Amazing how people respond when the stakes are no longer meant to matter !
