So American Idol and The Simpsons will also be available the next day online to watch through Fox Generation. It seems up to 60% of Fox programming will go online, and affiliate stations so they buy-in to deal may get a 12.5% cut of revenue (advertising and/or subscription) BusinessWeek : "This is a way to get the affiliates to stop whining. It's a negotiating chip," says Josh Bernoff, an analyst with Forrester Research. "A network that doesn't do this will just have to deal with it sooner or later in negotiating renewals of affiliate agreements."

Cuban btw thinks Disney should have streamed daytime soaps first and target the PC at work white collar market : "So why not stream the soaps into the office so viewers who like the shows can stay attached to them and check them out in realtime , or on demand at lunch time ? Same rules as youhave set now, but rather than having to find those make goods, you give them the spots in the stream runs. Nice, verifiable media that could have increased the number of viewers for your Soaps, helped with advertisers and reduced confusion about how best to acquire ABC programming offline."
