Big Post by Scoble on search, who sometimes is Santa Claus, sometimes more like Patrick Junior asking for the Nano (make that the Video) - I understand his feelings though : "Why cant I search today's Internet better ?" If only it was that easy. Funnily enough there are some obvious solutions to recency search problems (lack of spam blocking, use of geographic filters, degrees of 'separation' + authority of sources, use of metrics from an integrated RSS reader (feeds subscribed to, items saved/tagged etc.) But unfortunately you need scale to do search (yahoo have more people working on spam than employees of technorati) plus a great algorithm and team (look how far google got on the pagerank thesis) We all knows what happens when we become part of "Business Units" - Why do you think Fred Wilson and Brad Feld work in such small teams ? But I like Scobe's gist and his new blog-header :
