friday is all about content communities.
Given I go for AFL Football team : The Demons, with the highest odds ever in AFL betting history to win (@$34) against reigning premiers The Cats (someone has bet $100K to pick up $104K - not bad interest rate for 2 hours work) - tomorrow Im glad the local Mornington Peninsula Football League starts (any1 ever want to come down and experience "real football" this season + cold full strength cans for $3 ping me btw)... so I can watch the Rye Demons play.
Another forecast miss via the always readable Silicon Alley Insider is Fox Interactive Media and its revenue numbers, incl MySpace, and what caught my eye, is the syntax/semantics/language, that rather than refer to their websites, as um, 'websites', they classify their 'web properties' as "content communities"; "You have worked diligently to create the largest, most innovative content communities in the world, and, as a company, we are now prepared to take the next step in our evolution."
OK next step in my evolution is it's FnFridayUbeauty! - is there a better part of the week? i think not, than 6pm Friday? no need to answer - altho fastfwd a few days (and deliverables i need done by then) I have a big VC pitch Monday morn that the powerpoints not done for yet, as well as a exec team pitch to a leading classified playing client Tuesday, and another client thing Tuesday afternoon... um is there a startup yet that is auto-generating powerpoint presentations that will satisfy, inspire and close deals @ a CEO level audience ?
Who cares, not Megan Fox, just give it the fingerbang on a Friday!
